Hey everyone! I really do apologize for the lack of updates. I have been so busy with Dianna Daily and my offline life. Anyway, I will be taking a semi-hiatus. In the meantime, I will be adding more and more photos and a lyric archive. I will also be posting more updates/news on Katy in a little awhile. I’m hoping to be completely back in about 4-5 weeks. I am so sorry for this, but I think I really need a break from the site.

Katy Perry Gearing Up to Launch Second Scent

Katy Perry is set to extend her fragrance brand this November with the launch of a second scent, which will be available exclusively at Nordstrom and on nordstrom.com. Created in partnership with Perry’s fragrance licensee, Gigantic Parfums, the scent is intended to be a companion piece to the recording artist’s first fragrance, Purr, which debuted a year ago and is now available in 54 countries. Perry created her second fragrance while on her “California Dreams” World Tour. As for its name, Perry is giving her fans a bit of a tease: Beginning next week via Twitter, she will invite them to guess. The winners will then be selected at random to receive various prizes, including bottles of perfume, and the potential to meet Perry at a launch event in December.

“The One That Got Away” Single

With the announcement of a sixth single from her Teenage Dream album, Katy Perry‘s record-breaking winning streak may very well continue.

Perry currently ties with King of Pop Michael Jackson‘s record for the most Billboard Hot 100 number one singles from one album (“California Gurls,” “E.T.,” “Firework,” “Teenage Dream” and “Last Friday Night”). Her latest single, “The One That Got Away,” was quietly released over the weekend and is currently being serviced to radio. While Perry’s fans were leaning toward “Hummingbird Heartbeat” in particular for the next release, her label felt “The One That Got Away” may have the best chance on the charts.

“I’m so pleased to select ‘The One That Got Away’ as my sixth single because this song shows a very different side of me that I haven’t shown with my past singles on this record,” Perry says. “I think everyone can relate to this song. I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It’s a bittersweet story; hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had ‘The One’ get away.”

Concert Postponed!

Van Andel Arena has confirmed that the Katy Perry concert scheduled for Sunday night has been postponed. The singer is sick with a respiratory infection. The concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 1st. Van Andel Arena says all tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.

MTV Video Music Awards 2011

The MTV Video Music Awards 2011 aired on Sunday night, and I’m happy to announce that Katy has won three awards! She won Best Collaboration for “E.T.”, Best Special Effects for “E.T.”, and Video of the Year for “Firework”. Congratulations Katy!

Hey Katy Cats! We’ve finally gotten brand new beautiful themes for Katy Perry Web! The main layout is designed by the amazing Kaci, and the gallery layout is designed by the amazing Ashley. I am absolutely in love with them, what do you guys think? Please let me know if you are having any trouble viewing the layouts. I also have to apologize for the lack of updates. Now I have a steady pace, and I will be able to update lots more.
